You’ve probably seen the late fuss with pretty smoothie bowls – they’re all over the Instagram! However, they don’t only look incredibly stunning, but they’re also wholesome. Smoothies are one of the best ways how you can quickly provide your body with a full pack of nutrients. So today I’ve prepared a delicious vegan berry smoothie bowl recipe.
Each time when I make a smoothie bowl, it feels like a small celebration. First I make the smoothie, and then I get to choose all the tasty topping to sprinkle on. Finally, I find a beautiful spot beside the window and enjoy my festive breakfast bowl. It’s like a little self-love ritual. Do you have one? I hope you do.

This smoothie bowl is a mix of bananas and different berries. Besides that, I also added some Brazil nuts. They’re quite large in comparison to other nuts and pretty high in calories and fat, but it’s mainly the good, unsaturated fat which keeps our heart healthy. Brazil nuts offer you a high content of nutrition.
Brazil nuts hold exceptionally high levels of selenium. Just 1-2 nuts a day provides enough daily intake. Selenium helps to prevent coronary artery disease, liver cirrhosis, and cancers (especially breast and prostate).
Also, Brazil nuts are a complete protein, meaning they provide all essential amino acids needed for human growth and development. These nuts are high in both E and B-complex vitamins which protect skin, increase brain function and protect from cancer.
I’ve used raspberries, cranberries, and blueberries in this recipe, but you can use any berries that are available for you. But now, let’s see how to make this beautiful vegan berry smoothie bowl.
To make 2 vegan berry smoothie bowls, you’ll need:
- 2 bananas
- a handful of raspberries (fresh or frozen)
- a handful of cranberries (fresh or frozen)
- a handful of blueberries (fresh or frozen)
- 4 Brazil nuts
- 1 tsp baobab powder or acai berry powder (optional; adds extra nutrients)
- a splash of water (or more to thin)
- for toppings: avocado, goji berries, frozen blueberries, mulberries (you can use any kind of toppings you like)
- In a blender or food processor, place all ingredients for the smoothie. Blend until smooth.
- Pour the smoothie into a bowl and decorate with any topping you have. I used avocado, extra frozen blueberries, goji berries, and mulberries.
